bulletNew Minister   We are delighted to welcome Rev Christine Sime BSc BD as our new minister.  Miss Sime was born and brought up in Edinburgh and has been minister at Dunscore Parish Church linked with Glencairn and Moniaive Parish Church since 1994.  Her induction to Dalgety Parish Church will take place on Thursday 15th March at 7pm.  The induction will be followed by a small buffet and social evening.

Miss Sime graduated with an honours degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Edinburgh in 1977 and after working for the University's Genetic Department and then the Medical Research Council she felt called to the ministry.  She studied at New College, Edinburgh and, in 1993, graduated with an honours degree in Divinity, specialising in New Testament studies.

bulletDuring the vacancy  Until our new minister is inducted, Dalgety Kirk’s interim moderator, Rev Robert J Watt, should be contacted in respect of baptisms and marriages (01383 735417, email: robert@dalgety-church.co.uk). Alasdair Campbell, Parish Grouping Assistant continues to look after pastoral matters (01383 726238, email: alasdair@dalgety-church.co.uk) .

Sunday worship is held every week at 10.30am. Children are welcome to join us, and a creche is available for the smallest ones.

bulletThe Fair Trade Stall is held on the first Sunday of each month, before and after the service. A wide range of coffee, tea, sugar, honey, dried fruits, chocolate and sweets is available and you have the satisfaction of knowing that for each item, a fair price has been paid to a Third World producer. As a result of the few pence which you pay, children can go to school, villages can build latrines and communities can have health clinics.

bulletMalawi Rice is back in stock!  We have further supplies of delicious fairly traded long grain aromatic white rice grown and harvested by smallholder farmers in Malawi.  Why not help a family out of poverty by buying a kilo of Kilombero rice?  If a Malawian farmer can sell 90kg of rice at Fair Trade prices, he will make enough money to send one of his children to secondary school for one year.  For just £3 you will get 1kg of the nicest rice you have ever tasted and the satisfaction of knowing that somewhere in Malawi a child has got one step nearer the education which will change his or future.
