Winter Watch
Particularly for older people in Dalgety Bay, winter weather can be an inconvenience – sometimes of a minor nature but often a major problem. When heavy snow falls and it is difficult to get out; or when it starts to thaw and pavements turn to ice getting out and about, just to do your shopping, can cause real difficulties and problems. Being house-bound for a few days and people run the risk of running out of basic foodstuffs – bread, milk, potatoes…
Through our Winter Watch (a seasonal service during severe winter weather) we can offer help. If you are stuck at home through illness, bad weather etc. and have run out of basic food items, phone Dalgety Church Office on 824092 between 9.30am and 12 noon (Monday to Friday) and we will arrange to deliver what you need. Outwith office hours, please telephone 726238.
We do stress that this is an emergency service, for basic food items only, and is not a ‘home-shopping’ service. The service is provided free-of-charge.
